Moving company in Garfield, NJ
I had a washer-dryer set and a couch that barely fit the first time. The movers came prepared with straps and made it look easy. They took extra care not to scratch the walls and got everything down smoothly without damaging a thing.
Communication was difficult from the beginning. Calls and messages were not returned promptly, and I had trouble getting updates about my move. Overall, not very reliable.
I expected a smoother process, but there were several issues along the way. Customer support was difficult to reach, and concerns were not addressed promptly. The experience was disappointing.
Highly recommend this moving crew. I had a bunch of musical instruments, including a keyboard and speakers. They wrapped everything tightly and secured it in the truck. No bumps or marks when it arrived. You can tell they know what they're doing.
I highly recommend asking for Zachary if you book here. We had a tricky move with a narrow basement staircase. He measured everything first and had a plan. He guided his team perfectly, getting our freezer and washing machine up without a hitch. They were done in under 4 hours.
We chose Howards Van Line for our move from a two-story rental into a condo. The stairs at the old place were narrow, and I had no idea how they'd get the washer and dryer out, but they managed to do so without damage. They wrapped our furniture, labeled the boxes, and asked questions instead of guessing. Their attention to detail really helped the whole process go smoothly.
10/10 would use again. We were moving my daughter into a 3rd-floor apartment with no elevator. The guys from M Company carried every box and piece of furniture up all those stairs. They never slowed down or complained. They even helped her unpack the heaviest boxes. The whole job took about 5 hours, which was less than they quoted.
The move took much longer than promised, which caused unnecessary stress. I had difficulty getting updates, and the overall coordination could have been much better.
The overall experience was disappointing. Customer service was not as responsive as expected, and several issues remained unresolved. I hope improvements are made in the future.
I hired Howards Van Line to help me move out of my childhood home and into a small apartment. A lot of the items were sentimental, and they took extra care with the things I was nervous about, photo frames, an old wooden rocking chair, and books I've had forever. I could tell they understood this move mattered to me.
