FRAUD
This is by far the worst moving company I have ever done business with. As a military member who has done at least 5 moves all over the United States, this is definitely the worst. Let’s start with their setup to get people locked in. I was moving from San Diego, CA to Las Vegas, NV and I was even a quote for around $5500 after I went through with the booking agent for the things I needed to be moved. I thought this was a very competitive offer so I decided to move forward with this company. I was given 2 dates on when the movers would arrive and they arrived on the second day. I was told that I would receive a call 2 days before the first date and they would let me know if it would be the first or second date. I never received a call and had to call them on the day before and ask which date and they still said it would be either one of the dates. I should have known then something wasn’t right. The first date comes and no communication. On the second date, I received a call from the movers stating that they are about 30 minutes from my house. The movers arrive and start packing up my house. While packing up my house, the head guy came and said that I was quoted for only 1100 sq ft and I have more than that. He stated that the truck that they have holds 1800 sq ft and I would be filling up the truck. He stated that I would have to pay the for the additional space used. The extra 700 sq ft cost an additional $4000. At this point, I was stuck as I was in a time crunch to move and couldn’t find another company plus my most of my household good are already on the truck so I agreed. I later found out that this is a tactic that moving companies use to get over on people. The truck is packed and I was given the packing list of the things they had in their possession and it was the worst I’ve seen. Most of it just listed “box” which is not how it should be done. At this point, I’m like what can I do. I just hope my things make it to the destination. Boy was I in for a big surprise. Once I arrive to Las Vegas, I called and setup delivery of my household goods and the delivery did arrive on the date stated. Once mover showed up before the truck. Another mover showed up about 30 minutes later but only stayed about 10 minutes and left and never came back. So once the truck arrives, it was packed to the edge so the mover had to stand on one of my boxes to start pulling things out. Of course he crushed the box. I asked the driver for the paperwork to check off items coming off the truck for accountability and he said that he wasn’t given any paperwork just a location to make the delivery. Luckily, I had the paperwork from the pickup date. My family and I had to assist the one mover with removing items from the truck because there was no way he could do it by himself even though I paid for a service that I had to do myself. After about 1 1/2 half of unloading, another mover (different from the guy that left) showed up. After all the items were off the truck that was supposed to be mine (there was other people items on the truck as well), it was determined that boxes, a dining table, a larger dresser, and some chairs were missing. Upon an assessment of everything missing, it was about $3000 of household goods and all of my military gear ($5000) was missing. I contacted the company about my missing items and was told how to file a claim. My wife did a review and I promptly received a call about trying to correct the issue and was told that I need to remove it in order for my claim to be processed. We removed it and processed the claim. They use a 3rd party company that is supposed to be a neutral party for the claim but the 3rd party is clearly only for the best interest of the moving company. After a couple of weeks, I received a letter stating that my reimbursement would be $181. How is this legal? This company is the worse and should never be used again. I pay $9500 and they lose $8000 and offer me $181. Those 5 star reviews are definite fakes to boost their real rating.
