Professional Movers

We were selling a larger home and moving into new construction. Builder schedule and a closing that changed twice. Chris adjusted the entire job both times with no penalty and no complaint. Simply rescheduled, confirmed, and showed up ready when the time finally came for Ooltewah, TN. Four bedroom house plus workshop executed perfectly. Total $12,100. A company that actually puts the customer first.

Excellent

Moving at the same time our youngest was leaving for college. Two enormous transitions happening simultaneously from New Brunswick, NJ. Packing up our child's room felt different from packing up everything else. John noticed the emotion in my face when the crew started on that room. Quietly reassigned it to himself and his most careful crew member. The two of them handled every item with the care the moment deserved. Room arrived perfectly in Knoxville, TN. He even helped us set it up as a guest room that still felt like it could be his when he came home. Cost $9,900. Sensitivity to the emotional layers of a move is rare and wonderful.

Perfect Movers

We have a large collection of antique clocks — over forty, ranging from mantel clocks to a grandfather clock to several wall pieces with complex pendulum mechanisms. Moving these from Folsom, CA to Somerset, NJ required understanding how to properly prepare a clock for transport — pendulums need to be secured, movements need to be isolated from vibration, and delicate mechanisms need proper padding. Chris researched clock-specific moving protocols and brought a horological specialist in to consult on the grandfather clock. Every clock was prepared, padded, and transported with extraordinary care. Every clock arrived ticking. Total cost was $11,600. Chris brings the right expertise to whatever your collection requires. There is no special item he won't figure out how to move properly.

Fantastic Mover

We have a large aquarium hobby — six tanks total, including a 200-gallon reef tank that has been five years in the making. Moving from Buffalo, NY to Sewickley, PA required extraordinary planning around the fish and corals. Chris spent two hours on the phone with me before the move understanding exactly what was involved. He arranged for the fish to be transferred professionally the day before the move, coordinated the tank breakdown with our reef specialist, and had the tanks transported in a humidity-controlled section of the truck. The corals survived the move and the tanks were set up and cycling within 48 hours of delivery. Every single fish made it. Total cost was $11,400. Chris has seen it all and handles it all. There is nothing this company won't figure out how to do right.

Best Crew

I research everything obsessively before making a decision. Spent three weeks evaluating moving companies for the trip from Magnolia, TX. Had a twelve question vetting list. John answered every single question in our first call without hesitation, offered references unprompted, then followed up with a written summary of everything we had discussed so I had it in writing. That level of transparency and professionalism sealed the deal. Move carried out exactly as described. Crew uniformed, professional, treated our home at both ends with complete respect. Delivery to Victoria, VA on schedule, every item in perfect condition. Cost $13,100. Research paid off.

Fantastic Movers

Both doctors with unpredictable schedules. We needed a company that could work around us rather than the other way around leaving Eden Prairie, MN. When Jaime said just tell me your constraints and I will build the plan around them, I knew we were in good hands. Confirmed the schedule twice in the week before, accommodated a last minute start time shift when my wife got called in for an early surgery, ran the entire day without needing either of us present for more than about thirty minutes total. Text updates throughout. Everything delivered perfectly to Chestnut Hill, MA. Total $10,900.

Thumbs Ups

Multi generational household. My parents, my wife and me, and our two teenagers, all sharing a large home in Las Cruces, NM that we were splitting into two separate households. Genuinely complex. Needed to divide shared belongings fairly, keep certain sentimental items clearly attributed, and deliver to two different addresses on the same day in Largo, FL. John created a detailed split plan. Every shared item pre labeled with its destination household before moving day. Trucks staged at the two delivery addresses in sequence and the crew never mixed a single item. Both households set up the same evening. My parents in their new place, we in ours, and nobody argued about the coffee table. Cost for the full two destination move $10,200. Made an inherently complicated family situation completely clean.

Surprise promotion, five weeks notice, three kids, two cats, fourteen years of accumulated life in the house in Fort Worth, TX. I called in a mild panic. Jaime answered with complete calm. Talked me through exactly what the five week timeline would look like, what I needed to do and when, what his team would handle. That roadmap gave me control back. On the day everything went as described. He even helped us find temporary cat boarding for move day itself. Arrival in Shreveport, LA was smooth. Cost $7,900. Five weeks of panic turned into a smooth transition.

The Worst Moving Experiance Ever

I personally had the worst experience in my life time with A Plus Moving & Storage from the moment they showed up at my door. The driver had a terrible attitude when he walked in the door and even the loading crew brought it up how the driver treated them. The loading crew was very good packing our contents but they told me that they are independent, The unloading crew was the worst I've ever experienced. My furniture arrived with several being damaged. I sent photos of the damaged furniture, including the mirrior on our curio cabinet which I told the Company that I got an estimate for the mirrior and it was $500.00 and they offered me $150.00. I said to the lady I was speaking to that doesn't even cover the mirror and what about all the other damaged furniture and she said she would talk to whoever she has to get approval from and she came back with an offer to settle for $350.00. I told her that didn't even cover the damaged mirror in the curio cabinet and her reply was they delivered my furniture in two days and I asked what that has to do with the furniture damages and she said it was a quick delivery and less items get damaged....There were several pieces of furniture that were damaged including dressers, tables, headboards, The people that I originally spoke with wouldn't return any of my calls the day of the move but I did hear from a guy that was rude on the phone to myself and my wife. My wife tried to explain to him about our issues we were having with the move and he told my wife that the driver said that we were rude...I guess he believed the driver over what we were explaining. In my opinion from the experience my wife and I had, I wouldn't use this company for anything, I won't recommend them to any Friends or Family because I wouldn't want them to experience what I did. If I could...I would have given A Plus Moving & Storage a "ZERO"!!!

Perfect Movers

My husband and I are both teachers and we joke that we own enough books to open a small library and enough art supplies to supply a school. Moving from Vancouver, WA to El Paso, TX was an exercise in managing enormous volume with care and organization. Philip suggested we use the school-year break as a natural window and built the move around it. His crew handled the books in a systematic way — numbering boxes to correspond to specific shelves so the reassembly was completely straightforward. The art supplies were packed by category so nothing was mixed or damaged. By the end of our first week in El Paso, TX, our home looked exactly like our home always had. Total cost was $7,800. Philip's respect for the things that define a person's life and work is genuine and consistent.
