How quote requests work
Requesting quotes on My Good Movers is free, and you never have to hire anyone.
What happens to your request
- From our quote form: our automatic system sends your request to up to three moving companies matched to your move. It matches companies using your route, move size and date, their location and availability, and whether they pay to receive leads from us.
- From a company’s ad (a Featured Partner spot or a Sponsored Ad): your request goes only to that company.
- From a company’s profile: your message goes only to that company.
- Other companies that serve your route may see your move details (route, move size and date), but never your name or contact details.
- Some of these companies may be brokers, which arrange your move and hire a carrier to do it. Each company’s profile shows whether it is a carrier or a broker.
Moving companies pay us a fee for each request we send them. That never changes their ranking in our organic results, their star rating or their reviews.
How they contact you
You choose how companies may contact you: by email, call or text. Your consent covers only the methods you choose. Companies can call or text you only if you choose that and tick the consent box on the form. The box is never ticked in advance, and you don’t have to tick it to get quotes. If you choose email only, companies don’t receive your phone number.
Companies may use your details only to respond to your moving request, never for unrelated marketing.
If you opted out of sale or sharing
Submitting the form doesn’t cancel your opt-out. Before your request is sent, the form asks you to confirm that you want it sent to moving companies that pay us. See How to opt out.
