How do reviews get on My Good Movers?

By MGM Editorial Team Last updated

Every review on My Good Movers comes from someone who says they hired, booked or paid a deposit to a moving company. Reviews reach us in three ways.

1. You write one on your own

Open the moving company’s profile and click Write a Review. You don’t need an account or an invitation. These reviews show no label.

2. We invite you

After you request quotes through My Good Movers and book a moving company, and the company confirms the booking, we may email you an invitation to review it about a week after your move. We send these invitations in the same way to every customer, whatever they might say. Reviews from our invitations show a Verified label. A review can also get the Verified label if you show us proof of your move, such as an estimate, invoice or bill of lading.

3. The moving company invites you

Moving companies can send review invitations by email from their My Good Movers dashboard. They must invite every customer in the same way, not only happy ones. They can’t tell you what to write or offer you anything for a review. These reviews show an Invited label.

What happens after you post

Whichever way a review reaches us, it goes through the same steps:

  1. You confirm your email. Your review isn’t published until you click the link we send you.
  2. An AI tool checks it. Our AI review moderator marks the review as OK, or flags it with a reason.
  3. A person decides. Our moderators decide on every flagged review, plus a share of others picked at random.
  4. It’s published. We email you a Delete Review link you can use at any time.

What a label does and doesn’t mean

A label shows how a review reached us. It doesn’t make a review more or less trustworthy. No moving company can pay to change a label, remove a review or change the order reviews appear in.
