Read More From the moment they arrived, the movers made me regret my decision. One guy kept stepping outside to smoke, leaving the other two to do all the work. They worked slowly, taking long breaks and even eating snacks in my living room while the clock was running. At the end of the day, they left trash behind and didn’t bother cleaning up the packing materials. I was shocked by their unprofessional behavior.

The initial quote seemed reasonable, but once the movers arrived, they started adding extra charges for things like carrying furniture up a single flight of stairs. My belongings were also delayed by two days, and no one could tell me where they were. To add insult to injury, several items arrived damaged, including my dresser, which now has a huge crack on the side. I will never use them again.

Read More OM Van Lines I am going to start with the negatives and end with a few positives with this company. I had paid in full for this move ahead of time. I had a very simple move of moving from a small 5 x 10 storage unit with everything being wrapped up and boxed up inside the unit from previous movers to then going to stop at the house a few minutes away from the storage unit. On the day of pick up, I did not hear from anyone between the hours of 11 AM and 2 PM when I was told that would be my pick up window. Finally, someone contacted me to tell me that they had a big job before and are running late. They finally showed up to the storage unit at 4:30 PM. They go to the storage unit get everything out of it, and I am signing away my life with agreeing to all these impossibilities of extra charges an extra storage space and that sort of thing. so then we go to the house to switch out a mattress that was in storage with the mattress that is here at the house. The first problem was that they switched out the mattress and then we’re gonna leave the mattress, leaning up against the wall in my room wrapped up from storage. I had to ask the associate to unwrap the mattress and place it on my bed frame. I have moved twice before and I’ve never had to ask a mover such a simple task to do. so now they have packed up the truck and the lead associate comes in to go over pricing and of course I paid for this move ahead of time with Charlee and made sure that the inventory matched what they were gonna be charging me. They come back with needing an extra $1,000 on top of the $1620 that I have already paid in full. they said that the queen size mattress that was on the inventory was thicker and so that took up more space and so they were gonna charge me extra for that the best part is that even the lead foreman told Charlee that the only extra was the larger mattress and a few small boxes, but nothing major no packing services needed. luckily Charlee understood how upset I was and is working on looking at what was extra and what they can do on price when the movers left. I noticed an hour later that they took the shrink wrap from the mattress that I asked them to place on my bed and left it outside in the front yard. I went upstairs to see how my room was left and instead of leaving it, how exactly it looked when they walked into the room with the nightstand neatly next to the bed and the lamp on the nightstand. They pulled the nightstand aside put the lamp on the floor and just left it. I do not know any movers that would leave this kind of mess everywhere. these movers were clearly tired and annoyed with this simple job. The movers were getting very agitated that the lead foreman and I were trying to talk to the office about this extra thousand dollars they were trying to charge me as they all wanted to go home and this was only at 5:30 at night. I understand they had a long day, but these movers were very unprofessional and the small details and simple tasks that most if not all moving companies have a standard practice of these guys did not follow through on. now to some of the positives Charlee, who I’ve dealt with from the start of this move has been very good at communication between texting and emailing and phone calls. I will say once a question arises that’s urgent. She has gotten back to me within about 10 to 15 minutes of my asking so I will say she’s done a great job. I understand that Charlee honestly is working for a pretty bad company. I don’t know many companies that do this sort of bait and switch as I got my inventory right and they are trying to charge me an extra thousand dollars for a thicker queen size mattress which I’ve never heard of and a few extra boxes, maybe two or three, which were all packed by me. I understand if there was extra stuff to be moved if they actually had some work to do, but they did not even the lead. Foreman told Charlee himself that there was nothing extra with this job. I believe the computer system miscalculates the cubic square feet of the move to keep it cheaper so that you think you’re getting a good deal until they really show up and then they hit you with really what the cubic square feet is my cubic square feet was estimated around 200 and when the foreman were done with the job they estimated 325 so I’m not sure where 125 ft.³ is added when the inventory matched what I had it makes no sense. The only good thing out of this move was that Charlee was very receptive to helping me out and was there when I needed help but I will not be using the service again. The movers were awful. They just wanted to get in and get out, they do not care what they were doing and clearly they’re out just for the price not for anything else. Now the next day, I find out that Charlee is gone from the company so I am passed on to a woman named Michelle who is a jerk and only cares about the management profits and does not care about any customers any customer service or complaints. She explained to me attached below that the company is not responsible to remove trash from the property after a mattress is unwrapped.she explained to me that they do not take away the shrink wrap and only remove the moving blankets. They will not set up and furniture of my since it was in storage and not taken apart by them. What an awful company. I cannot believe how little effort everyone put in. I will know to ask about set up and all and never trust this moving company again. This has been a horrible experience. Charlee was clearly fired because she was helping process the move in full on my credit card when according to Michelle they were supposed to charge me a 5% processing fee. I am happy to know that I have costed them $81 in fees for using my card. Can’t believe these companies let people go because they are trying to help customers. My items were picked up on Monday April 14th in Massachusetts going to Nashville. I did not receive my items until Tuesday April 29th. I should have never had to wait that long! Any other moving company would have done it all within one week. I had to take off a day from work because this company was so bad at moving my items to Nashville. As it is said in the reviews. My desk came with a broken leg the movers tried to fix and my tv was broken when I turned it on. The moving company that delivered my items was a sub contracted company not related to OM can lines. They understood the job of placing my item’s where they needed to be and unwrapping all the plastic crap off my furniture and disposing of the trash. The foreman was even suprised when I said “ OM Van lines said u were not going to remove the plastic wrap. I am happy you have the standards of doing so” I would have hired this contracted moving company over OM Van lines any day. They were curious and professional unlike OM van lines in Massachusetts.

They were careful with my belongings and made sure everything was wrapped securely before loading it onto the truck. The movers were polite and friendly, which made the whole process so much less stressful. They finished the move ahead of schedule, and there was no damage to anything. The pricing was also transparent and fair. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable movers.

For one they lie about there quote it went from 2.200 when loaded and ready to go I got hit with a bill of 3.555.08 not to mention my motorcycle was damaged after I specifically told the movers not to place any items on top of it. Upon delivery there was multiple items on top of it. Wires that control temperature from my Refrigerator door along with water and ice hoes cut instead of disconnected. To short to repair. I tried to make a claim but they make it impossible to do so. A total in damages 2,530 dollars . Insurance requires a receipt for what’s damaged and also I was told my delivery would be there on Friday didn’t get there till Monday. Never again lesson learned

Read More I recommend this company, they were nothing but fantastic I have moved many times (over 10 times in the last 4 years) and this is now my go to mover. knowing how the industry works after moving so often makes things easy, and they are more than up to par and great I always see people complain about all moving companies changing their prices. If you have not moved before you may not understand, but once you move you can see how it all works, most of the movers will all work the same , but the ones that go the extra mile, are kind, accommodating and provide great service are the go to's, like OM. yes the price can change, its an estimate and if you do not give all the pieces you have to move, its not an accurate bill, but if you do, you should be very close. honestly moving long distance is not cheap, prices can change within 1-1000$ but that in my personal experience is still a close bill to final sale,its just how it is. so if you tell them all your pieces, you should be very close. om did a great job, so friendly and nice and even answer after 8pm. I had no damages ( I know how to pack for long distance now) and I had a very fair price, my estimate differed of $300 only and I was more than pleased. Charley and Michelle were awesome and my crew of Manny, Santos and Ryan were fantastic. do your research before hiring any company on how moves operate so you understand what you are getting into, because they are pretty much all the same, you just want one that has customer service too and is accommodating, obviously some will be more expensive than others. and DO NOT get a subcontractor agent or brokerage, did that my first 2 moves...nightmare. om moved me start to finish, in 3 days and it was a great experience. so many people love to rip on companies but I wanted to share my positive feelings towards them. they know what they're doing and are able to tell you point blank ahead of time the exact process and measures and stick to their promises.
