Read More Absolutely DO NOT use Metro Hop Relocation. They severely underquoted me, and the movers charged an extra $1,200 day of. I had LESS items than I had originally inventoried for through Metro and I was still charged an egregious amount more. The moving company they sent to my apartment was incredibly sketchy and inappropriate, and as a single woman I felt really uncomfortable. My sales rep through Metro was Joel, and while he was responsive and helpful at the beginning stages of setting up my move, he is now dodging my calls and emails since the move itself. I was completely scammed, and Metro Hop made what was already a stressful situation 10 times worse. I am not one to normally leave a review, but I hope people see this and do NOT hire Metro Hop Relocation.

Read More Where to begin with this review... My experience with Metro regarding the move of my 800 square foot, two-bedroom home was nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, I spoke with Thomas, who seemed supportive and assured me of his ability to assist with the move. He painted a picture of a seamless process at a great price, convincing me to put down a $900 deposit. Despite my insistence on paying in full upfront, Thomas advised against it, recommending a pay-as-you-go approach. On the day of the scheduled pick-up, I received a call from someone claiming to be the dispatcher, who was shockingly rude and informed me that the movers were not coming. The following day, I heard nothing from the dispatcher, Thomas, or anyone else from the company, despite them already having my deposit. Two days later, I finally received a call from Tessa, or whoever she claimed to be, providing me with a specific time for the arrival of the drivers. However, the deadline came and went without any sign of them. Another dispatcher called to apologize for the delay, promising a discounted rate for my troubles. Yet again, promises fell flat. Eventually, a driver called to say they were ready, only to be contradicted by a manager claiming their truck was full and accusing me of having more items than initially noted. This was an outright lie, as I had photographic evidence of the nearly empty truck and storage unit. After refusing to be swindled into paying extra, the owner called to assure me that I wouldn't be charged and arranged to pick up the storage. This marked the last contact I had with the driver or anyone from the company, as they promptly blocked me. Now, I find myself forced to involve my lawyer to retrieve my belongings and seek compensation for loss of wages, pain, and suffering. It's clear that Metro operates as a shell for scamming unsuspecting customers. My advice: steer clear of this company at all costs.

Read More I was shook by their professionalism when I hired them to help me move my old furniture to my new house nearby. They wrapped everything up in soft blankets and secured them with straps and tapes. They moved them carefully through the narrow hallways without any damage to the walls or the furniture. They paid attention to every detail and were really polite and friendly. They even helped me arrange the furniture in my new place and made sure I was happy with everything. I totally recommend them for any moving needs!

Literally uncharged us 5,000 to steal thousands of dollars of our stuff. DO NOT HIRE STAY AWAY. don’t bother calling customer service either, it’s a total joke.

They double-packed everything, but to make sure nothing got damaged, they took out plastic blankets and wrapped them securely around each crate.

Had a quote for 3.8k ish and day of movers were saying they wanted 6k because the estimate the company gave me is nowhere near. They ended up leaving when I asked to talk with the company then the next Monday the company told me I wasn't getting my money back no matter what. She said my estimate could change in the contract but, I gave them an itemized list of items and their estimate determined 400 cubic ft, the movers said they needed 800 doubling the price day of. They get you in with a low estimate that they randomly determine based on ur list of tiem, then when moving time comes they then decide a real estimate almost doubling the price. Then they will not do refunds under any circumstances if it is past 3 days since u signed. Lady told me even if they didn't show up they would not give a refund. Look them up u will see hundreds of similar stories. Do not give them business
