No missing screws, no wobbles - just a perfect bookshelf in my new place. Impressive!

Additionally, they kept my dog engaged by taking his favourite toy. I appreciate that.

Read More Horrible customer service. They'll always figure out a way to increase your bill. (Edit to reply: You have the contract in my wife's name BR delivered today. Check your records and voicemails) Initial contact was extremely positive and the salesperson was prompt in getting back to us. Finally, I thought a moving company that gives a hoot. Then after that things started to slip downhill. Pickup was 2 hours late and the movers couldn't get the largest piece (a large couch I put in the basement) out. So, the largest piece was not part of my shipment. Extremely disappointed. Then we get the voicemail run-around. When we do speak to somebody, we're informed that our measuring is far enough off that despite the largest piece not being moved, our bill will increase. I'm not that bad at measuring! We're wondering when it will show up, leave voicemails and silence. Then today after several phone calls, there's an email. It will be about another week. UGH. Then an hour later, we get a text: Driver will be here in about an hour. Hello?? I spoke to a very stern coordinator about 3 or so days ago. One of the questions was about delivery and if a "tractor/trailer would fit?" No question that I responded NO. I suggested a "straight job." Today the driver calls me and asks me to come to the security gate. They won't let him in. Then I see why. He's driving a tractor/trailer. I call 4 different numbers, only to get voicemail. Now 2 hours later, someone calls my wife and informs her that it will be $427 ADDITIONAL for a "transfer." Their dispatch made the mistake, they're holding my furniture hostage and I have no choice but to pay, if I want my stuff. The driver rents a U Haul and brings my stuff inside my gated community. BTW cash or postal money order only. How convenient. Lesson Learned. Be advised folks!! BTW, look at my reviews, I'm NOT the guy that always leaves bad reviews. Only when it's warranted.

Read More Our church's equipment had to be relocated to a nearby storage facility so that we could renovate it. We contacted City Movers Hallandale Beach when we found that moving would take more time and effort than we thought, and they went out of their way to help us with the transfer. Plus, they charged me only 50% of the final cost because of religious respect.

When Jane told me it was only gonna be two guys, I panicked because usually I always have 3 to 4 guys doing my 1bd move. Well let me tell you that those two guys were on time, efficient, polite and they did everything in less than three hours! Highly recommended!
